Third Coast Wrestling - Welcome to Third Coast Wrestling. This organization is dedicated to inspiring youth in the Bay Area to participate in the sport of wrestling. The Clear Lake area has had High School wrestling for the past 3 years. Over that time the Clear Creek Independant School District has won 2 District 24 Champions for the boys teams and Back to Back Championships for the Creek Girls team. Clear Creek and Clear Lake have won the District Championships the past 2 years. Clear Creek's coach Eric Thompson, and Clear Lake's coach Brian Palazzi are dedicated to the growth of the sport in our area. Together the two coaches have over 40 years of wrestling experience, including wrestling at the collegiate level. Coach Thompson comes from Michigan, and Coach Palazzi comes from New Jersey.

We are hosting a K-12th grade instructional wrestling camp at Clear Creek High School June 15th-19th. Camp will be held from 8am -1pm. The flyer can be copied and pasted to any work document.

I’m emailing to let you know about a wrestling clinic that is being hosted by Spring Klein Wrestling Club called  Gladiator Camp this April 17th and 18th.  Gladiator Camp Flyer     http://www.springklein.org/files/GLADIATOR_CAMP.pdf

Jamill Kelly and Daniel Cormier are 2 of the clinicians at the camp.  Jamill won the Silver Medal in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Daniel is a 2 time Olympian and the 2008 US Nationals Champion. Also present will be Joaquin Bautista, Erik Spjut and Mike Harris.  All these clinician are collegiate national level wrestlers.

Why is this  camp  important?

  1. We are bringing 2 USA Olympic wrestlers which should generate lots of excitement for your wrestlers.  Your wrestlers will get to train side by side with the best.
  2. We need your support.  Gladiator Camp is a clinic as well as a fundraiser.  If you have not heard, SKWC is in serious jeopardy of losing its facility.  Would youth wrestling continue in the South Region without that facility? Yes.  Would it be set back? In my opinion, it would be set back for years.  No one wants to hump mats back and forth each Friday night to different venues as well as pay exorbitant prices for rental.  The club has been able to keep costs low until now, because of the generosity of some key donors, who have regretfully explained that they are no longer able to fund the club. If you get some time, please take a look at our website concerning all the changes at the club. www.springklein.org

We could really use your supportAll the monies raised will go directly into funding to get us through this hump and will keep the facility in use for the area for years.  Registration is going to be handled online only at our web site. There is a discount for early registration.

We are also seeking corporate sponsorships for the camp.   We will issue a camp T-shirt for each wrestler with the logo of each business printed on the back.  Sponsorship for that logo placement would be $250.  We are also allowing companies to buy banners for $250, one color, to be strewn during the camp.   If you have any interest in your company becoming an Event Partner  for the camp, please email me directly at andrew.douglas@springklein.org  or jeff.clayton@springklein.org

Also, if you think you might like to donate personally, many companies have matching funds programs to eligible 501 (c) 3’s, like ours. For matching funds interest contact, kim.dermody@springklein.org. We could really use your support and you could double your impact.

Please when you distribute this flyer, use the following document as a base text for challenging your parents. http://www.springklein.org/files/Email_Invite.doc

Thank you

FALCON WRESTLING STUDENT ATHLETE EXPECTATIONS

Expectations -
In an effort to reinforce a strong desire for our student/athletes to become role models, we have developed the following list of consequences for behaviors that are an obstacle to this goal.  We want to encourage our student/athletes to do what is right; and to do their best in every area of their life-even if it is not directly related to the sport of wrestling.  We feel the better person our student/athlete is, the better the wrestler he will be.
